Great Miniature Fruit Trees

By Charlie Reese

Anyone who loves fresh organic fruit would love miniature fruit trees. This vegetation offers beauty as well as convenience in attractive plants. There are many benefits to owning miniature fruit trees and many have adopted them into their homes.

Miniature fruit trees tend to bloom earlier than larger varities. This is a great benefit for anyone who lacks patients. While I do love the idea of having full size trees that bear fruit I really prefer something that offers immediate gratification. Miniature fruit trees are perfect for early buds.

Some may be surprised to learn that these trees grow fruit the very same year that they are planted. I figured that I would have to wait a season or two for my miniature fruit trees to flower but the plants sprouted up the first year. This was a great surprise that I welcomed wholeheartedly.

Many people may think that miniature fruit trees offer less fruit than their larger counterparts. I found the opposite to be true. The smaller plants have staggering numbers of blooms. I even had to give some of the stock away because I couldnt eat all of the fruit that I grew.

There are some reasons that these little fruit-makers are so prolific. The miniature fruit trees take up less room than their full sized counterparts. They also use sunlight more efficiently. The sunlight feeds the smaller plants quicker and in turn the miniature fruit trees yield more fruit.

These plants are also wonderful for those of us who are novice planters. They require little or no pruning, which is ideal for me because I wouldnt know where to start. I dont have to trim the miniature fruit trees in order to encourage new buds to form. The plants take care of the process themselves.

I also love that these trees are simple to care for. I dont have to worry about climbing ladders to get the fruits and I dont need to strain to reach the miniature fruit trees since they are mostly fewer than six feet in height. All I need to do is water and feed them and provide them with adequate sunlight.

Fresh produce is wonderful. Not only do you save a bundle on your grocery bill you also are assured that the produce is organic and chemical-free. Miniature fruit trees are among the most efficient ways to grow your own fruits. These beautiful plants have so much to offer and there are many benefits to having at least one.
