What about Pancake Mixes?

By Chuck T. S. Smith

When you wake up in the morning, do you usually have breakfast? If you do, is it usually something quick like cereal or do you stop at the local coffee shop for a donut and a cup of coffee?

If you are one of those people who skip breakfast or grab something fast, you probably choose to do so out of necessity. I'm sure you would love to have eggs and bacon or a stack of golden brown pancakes.

What if I told you that you could have those delicious pancakes and you wouldn't have to wake up an hour early? I'm sure you would be pretty excited, especially considering you know what kind of project making pancakes is. Normally pancakes liked these are saved for a Saturday morning with nothing else to do.

If you really want pancakes and don't have much time, you should use pancake mix. Pancake mix can save you a lot of time. It has almost all the ingredients right in the mix. You don't need to measure everything out separately.

You can choose from a variety of different pancake brands and types. If you want to be cheap and simple, you can get a basic box of pancake mix from the supermarket, or you can make fancy pancakes with a bag of Stonewall Kitchen Mix.

You could even take the basic pancake mix you get from the store and dress it up. Throw some chocolate chips in the batter or sprinkle the pancakes with cinnamon for an extra fun flavor. Be creative.

With most mixes, all you have to do is measure out how much mix you want and then pour in the right amount of water or milk. It is that simple. Even many of the gourmet mixes are this simple. You can't go wrong.

You can also give pancake mix or pancake mix baskets as gifts to friends and family. They will love that the mix is so easy and delicious, and they will love that it's not anymore clutter for their home.
