Fast Breakfast Recipes

By charlie reese

I love a good home cooked pile of pancakes or a large made-from-scratch Belgium waffles, but that is not the reality of my life. There are some mornings on the weekends when this is possible, but even then, it is not something that I manage very often. If you are anything like my husband and me, you want to have a good breakfast for yourselves, and your kids if you have them, but you dont have a lot of time. Weekdays are always hectic, but that does not mean your kids have to have cereal every day. Think of some fast, fun, and healthy breakfast recipes that you will all love.

For some breakfast recipes, a bowl of cereal is just fine. However, that is not all that you need for a good start to the day. Add a few things to it to make it more tasty and more interesting. You can have an assortment of fruit that you cut up the night before and stored in the fridge. Have some heavy cream to pour over the fruit, but do so sparingly. Heavy cream has a lot of calories. Sprinkle a teaspoon of sugar over the top (just sixteen calories) for a yummy addition to the morning bowl of cereal.

You can take some of the breakfast recipes that you use on the weekends to use during the week. What you want to do is to make some extra pancakes and/or waffles on the weekend and freeze them. You want to lay them flat and dont store them more than a week in the freezer. If the package is airtight, and you use these for your breakfast recipes within a few days, they can taste almost as good as if they are fresh. Warm them up in the toaster as you would the store-bought waffles, and enjoy the real homemade taste. Add some fruit and you have a great breakfast.

You can also make your own omelets for your breakfast recipes. There are common ingredients that people put in omelets, and those are just fine. You can have onions and peppers cut up and ready to go, along with ham and cheese, depending on what you like. Each family is different, so that means you can have fun with your omelet breakfast recipes. Add unique things to see what comes out well. You can even use bacon and sausage in the eggs, or any type of leftover that you think would work. These are fast and easy, and are not the same old breakfast.

You can also find other quick and easy breakfast recipes if you look online or if you find the right cookbook. The key is to have some prep time, but have that done before you get up in the morning. That means you have a great breakfast in a short time without having to put a lot of work into it. You know your time is precious. You can have the great, healthy, and very tasty breakfast recipes that you love each day without having to wait for the weekend. Cereal is fine, but you dont want it every day.
