Japanese Green Tea Powder

By Stavros Kapinski

Many people will be surprised to know that the over hyped green tea and the normal/conventional tea come from the same plant. Since the method/system of preparing the tea after it is harvested is different, the taste also alters.

Normal tea is made by fermenting the leaves whereas leaves are steamed to make green tea. Fermentation sucks all the medicinal characteristics out of it but gives it a good taste which is relished by many.

Green tea is made by steaming the leaves. Steaming also aids the leaves to hold on to their medicinal values. However a matter of concern is, that the people, who are not from Asia, are not used to its peculiar taste.

Edible Alternatives

For such people the experts have come up with green tea powder. This powder is actually made all the way in Japan and then traded all around the world.

It is in their culture for a long time and was quite famous in tea ceremonies which are frequently held by the Japanese. They are given credit for producing the best green tea, especially the expanse of Uji Tawara, is far-famed for its green tea production.

There are many health benefits to be extracted from green tea. The explanation that you cant stand its taste should not stop you from availing the many benefits of this potent drink. Therefore you can always consume the tea in powder form and reap its benefits.

Although the Japanese have been drawing the benefits of their green tea harvests for centuries, the west has only recently acknowledged, through scientific studies , that green tea indeed has many health benefits.

Researches have proved intake of green tea can make people mentally sorted and cool. Its consumption also improves the cognitive growth and the functioning of the stomach.

Green tea is greatly appraised in Japan, it is a customary drink of dignity; the residents make it for the guests to whom they want to pay respect. It is made and served very carefully as it holds a lot of value for them. The western countries are only interested in it for medical purposes.
