The Absolute Best Lemon Bars

By Mike Sasaki

When it comes to desserts, some like chocolate and others like vanilla. I like both, but I like lemon bars the best! Lemon bars offer something that chocolate and vanilla do not. I really like my desserts fruity and buttery and I could easily polish off 5 lemon bars in one sitting.

You've probably seen lemon bars in coffee houses or dessert bars, but I enjoy homemade lemon bars over store bought lemon bars. Plus, it's really easy to make and surprisingly stress relieving. If you follow these easy steps, you'll have delicious lemon bars in no time.

Step 1 - Purchase all of the ingredients you need. Chances are you will have most of the ingredients already, but if not, it's just a quick trip to the grocery store.

Step 2 - The easiest recipe for the best http://www.recipematcher.com/index.php/recipe/show/Best-Lemon-Bars/.

Easy enough, right?! Also, if you have a special person you'd like to impress with a real nice dessert, this is the best recipe for that. Even if you want to say thank you to somebody in a nice way, just give them some homemade lemon bars. I've also noticed that if you make a great dessert for one girl, they'll tell all of their girl friends and you'll be bombarded with requests to make them all lemon bars...not too bad for your social life!

There are a lot of positives with lemon bars, but there is a huge downside if you eat too many lemon bars. Even though this involves a fruit, lemons, their are a lot of calories in lemon bars. I cut back on the amount of butter I use because most lemon bar recipes use an entire stick of butter, which is definitely not healthy and actually makes the lemon bar taste more like butter than lemons. If you reduce the amount of butter and sugar, it'll make these lemon bars a little healthier and still delicious.

Best of luck baking these lemon bars. If done correctly, you'll really enjoy eating them. Also, be sure to try out other lemon bar recipes.
