The Whole Idea About 'Dream Dinner'

By Peter Hallway

The term 'dream dinner' may bring to concious mind a exclusive date at a candlelit table, violin music in the background, with the repast capped by a marriage ring buried in the champaign glass. But Dream Dinners is also a unique food franchise that's rapidly developing. It involves locations where people can go to cook according to menus, then bring the food home to serve throughout the month. A lot of people ask, why didn't I think of that?

People are very busy today. Home cooked meals are becoming extinct . Sure, there are different kinds of healthy quick meals around, but most of the people still prefer home made cooking. But doesn't something have to give when time is on a budget? This franchise comes to the rescue.

This is how it functions. Customers select up to 14 menu dishes every month. Number of servings determines price of each meal. Then they cook it while still at the shop. This can be accomplished either in public or individual sessions, with cooking pros guiding the planning action. This is a plenty like a chef at a eating house coming out to direct the diners in preparing the food.

The cost is much less than what you might be expected. A 14 particular menu costs about $3.5 per serving, with side dishes and extras like salads and potatoes purchased separately. The price per portion with the sides is about $5. That's a great deal for the food plus the cooking instruction.

This is a franchise business. And there's been some contention behind the franchise. The food and menus are fine, but the franchise owners may have a problem. Forbes Magazine profiled Dream Dinners in March 28. But, the story is conferred from a different side of angle. The new idea rapidly gained popularity and attracted would be business enterprise owners. But it seems the business enterprise plan wasn't strong, as many of these people found themselves unable to continue the business after a short time and a lot of investment. Forbes claims the franchisees were sold a account of commodity when it came to the claims of liquidate success.

That's something for the company to handle. For patrons, it's enjoying to treat the preparation chores while working off of a wondrous menu.
