If you are creating your own picnic gift baskets, a big picnic basket with large handles, and a cheery plastic tablecloth for lining. Plastic flatware, paper plates, napkins, knives and utensils in bright and lively colors.

Such a keepsake being made by you is going too loved by the recipient for they know that you have poured your heart into creating such a grandeur design. You just need a large picnic basket with large handles and you have to use plastic clothing with bright and lively colors as lining. Then, you can just make compartments that you think you friend will need for a successful picnic getaway.

But not everybody is gifted with such creativity so we the common folk just buy our picnic gift baskets at the store. See the list below for a list of how picnic gift baskets are categorized:

1. Two-fold picnic baskets are baskets that you can open on both sides either simultaneously or one by one for they are divided in half and you can either put the clothing essential on one side, then the picnic essentials on the other. This is perfect if you want to carry a huge picnic blanket, some more hand towels while stuffing the other side with picnic essentials and food.

2. Shelved picnic gift baskets are more for wine or soda liter bottles and other bottled condiments because they have specialized spill proof compartments for such.

3. House-like picnic gift baskets are large carry all baskets for the big picnicker for this is designed for the packing in extra food that you may eat along the way. These are made to look like houses and they open on both sides so the other packed food will be undisturbed. These are perfect for a family with kids so you can just put in anything from feeding bottles to more food.

4. Shelved picnic gift basket. These are specially made for bringing along wine or liter soda bottles or other bottled condiments you might need. They have specific long compartments so the bottle doesn't tumble or just keeps it in place to avoid spills.

5. Cutlery picnic gift baskets are made for the avid picnicker that carries a lot of cutlery items. They are made of strong fibers and jute so it doesn't pierce through the basket. The material is made thicker for safety reasons.
