By Patrick OHaltdstead

If you are a wine collector or connoisseur, you may have fantasized about building a wine cellar in your own home. Admittedly, this is a home improvement project that will involve some time and money, but it is more than likely less complicated than you think.

The process of producing wine is mostly available and made for huge quantity which depends upon the method of preparation as well as the place where it is prepared.

The wine cellar is also defined in a peculiar or specific manner as the store house (for the freshly prepared wine as well as the wine prepared already and is in stored condition) for wine in bottles or small to large quantity of containers called the Barrels.

7-18 C is considered as the correct temperature of wine cellar. Wine cellar can be two types according to the cooling system: active and passive.

The cellar maintains the temperature range to a certain assigned level beyond which would affect the quality of the wine prepared and hence makes a variation in the taste of the wine prepared.

Also the humidity is also to be considered. The room is mostly found dark. There are two types of cellars available in this regards. One is the Active type of wine cellar and the other is the passive wine cellar where the temperature and the humidity is not a thing to be considered.

Also, put your lights on a dimmer to control brightness (dimmer is always better when it comes to wine), and also put your lights on a timer so they will turn off after a set period of time, in case you forget to shut them off.

Wine cellar management software are now available to mange your wine cellar properly.
